Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago—May 29, 2024--Investors across Trinidad and Tobago can now benefit from the convenience of opening an investment account online, from any device, at any time, as NCB Merchant Bank (Trinidad and Tobago) Limited (NCBMBTT) adds online investment account opening feature to its GoIPO   platform.

Launched locally in 2022, GoIPO became the first online equities application portal of its kind in Trinidad and Tobago.

In a move that will drive accessibility to investment and wealth-building opportunities for persons in Trinidad and Tobago, the boutique Investment Banking firm has outfitted its GoIPO platform with the ability to facilitate online account opening.

Marli Creese, CEO of NCBMBTT, in speaking on the launch of the account opening platform commented, “This update to GoIPO represents a landmark occasion for investors across Trinidad and Tobago. We are excited to push the boundaries even further as we continue to harness innovation from the NCB Financial Group Limited and apply it locally to deliver greater individual accessibility to investments, as we have done in Jamaica and The Cayman Islands.”

He continued: “With the last NIF2 bond offer receiving an approximate 170% subscription uptake, it is clear that now more than ever, more people are leveraging investments as a key driver for building wealth; and GoIPO is here to help make it easier to open an account digitally.”

Eva Mitchell, CEO of the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange further opined: "The initiation of the digital account opening process through NCBMBTT’s GoIPO platform is quite significant. It serves as the crucial first step in the digital journey towards account setup and investment exploration aligning with the growing demand for innovation and agility in investments among our investing public."

The GoIPO digital account opening process will see users logging on to  https://goipo.jncb.com  and complete the necessary account build-out fields, uploading key personnel information, reviewing, and accepting TTSE and TTCD documentation. To complete the process, users will simply print and sign a one-page signature document and drop it off at NCBMBTT’s office on the 6th Floor Newtown Centre, 30-36 Maraval Rd, Newtown.

Investors in Trinidad and Tobago can now start the account opening process online at goipo.jncb.com and prepare to access the next big investment opportunity at their fingertips through NCBMBTT.
